Spain - Costa del sol Cheap flights to Costa del sol are easy available from Thompson, EasyJet, British Airways, Monarch, Iberia and Air france. They all fly to Malaga from London. This is ideal for those who own Spanish property or rent Spanish holiday villas and apartments. There are lots of cheap budget hotel and holiday house accompdation available. Many of the budget airlines have links to Hotel search engines. Malaga airport has a number of car hire rental outlets like Herts, Alamo, Easyautos, Dragon Cars, Avis, National, Sixt, thrifty, Alamo. If you want to use the train, a walkway over the main road takes you onto the Airport railway station. West of Malaga are the holiday tourist resorts of Torremolinos, Fuengirola and Marbella. To the East of Malaga are the resorts of Almunecar, Torre del Mar, Almeria and my favourite Nerja. For the more adventurous drive to the wonderful historic city of Ronda perched high on the cliffs. Then drive to fascinating city of Granada and walk around the Moorish Alhambra Palace. If you are on a winter break take a drive up into the high Sierra Nevada ski resort. Head for Pradollano, the resort village which has been greatly enhanced thanks to the construction of new alpine-style buildings. Having played in the snow all day, in the late afternoon you can drive down to the coast to watch the sunset whilst drinking a beer by a bar near the palm trees on the beach If you want to visit the famous white washed villages of the Sierra Nevada mountain range one of the best can be found a few miles inland from the quaint seaside resort of Nerja. Frigiliana is its name. It is charming. Park your car in the valley and walk around all the old cobbled back streets. Take you time and sit at a café or bar and watch the world go by. Visit the local pottery shops to find a bargain.
